I reckon £2500 to£3000 for part exchange if you are lucky.
They normally just give you the auction price.

What ever they offer should be considered. All they will do is pass it on to a van trader or put it through an auction.
With all the problems theses vans have you may struggle to get more than Gav's estimate. The dealers offer, even if it's low may be the best option.
Good luck with it.

I sold my 04 trafic last October privately for 3.5k done 75k. I took the tank out but it was professionally speedlined and had an expensive roof and pole rack. Two weeks after i sold it,the gearbox went!

Toyota phoned me up last week to say they had some cracking good deals on new Hiaces. I wasn't interested 'cos I already have one. Cheaper alternative to a VW and just as reliable maybe even more reliable?
They all do the same kind of pcb's and hp deals.
I was tempted to go down the pcb route but it's still an expensive way to buy a new van in the end.

Poole Bay.

Heard about this offer at Peugeot on the radio today for small businesses might be worth a look.

If Renault Traffics are that bad "gear box's", going etc then I wonder why IONICS use them to put their machines in?

Dont you think if they were experiencing problems they would have changed to a different model by now?

I have a Transit on a 02 plate had it from 3 years old and have had a very good experience with this van  :), however I am looking to put another van on the road at the moment and have my eye on a 2006 Renault Traffic fitted out with a Thermopure, but all the stories I hear about gearbox's going etc has started to put me off  :(

If you're buying new then you get a 3 year warranty so it doesn't matter what van you buy. Trafics,Vivaros etc are 11k new as opposed to 5k more for a Transporter. Thats why the majority buy one, value for money then sell it when its out of warranty. I lugged 650kgs of water plus everything else in a 1.9 engine and it didn't like it.
