U might know the pains clicking etc it dont hurt alot just quite discomforting evertime i extend my right hand it hurts the most,im worried if it becomes permanent (if it already isnt)
It is not as bad as it was when i was up north cos i had to work more to make the same money but its still pretty bad.
Some guy from my local gym told me to join up there is this machine which vibrates and it lets the acid out or something , then again he was a sales man to the gym so i dont know if i can trust him.but he explained ive gotten it cos i have not been warming up before lifting about 2kg pole all day.
i would like this pain to go has anyone had it before what would be the best way to go
cheers

my brother in law used to get pains in his elbow from playing golf, i know its not the same thing, but he got a support that wrapped around his upper forearm just below the elbow and that helped his pain.

I mean its a physical job im sure some of you had this before or have it now , also , if you have a worker lifiting heavy poles all day long they are bound to get the pain, would your employers liability insurance cover you?

Generally keep your lower hand below your waist and let your elbow swing, do not have both hands above the waist pushing the pole, for goodness sake get a 1kg pole Max and lighter brush, use the elastic bands/grips mentioned above and yes do the warm ups and cool downs before and after work. Take Ibrufen at weeknds when your resting, they aint good if taken all week abd will give the muscles time to relax a bit. If nothing is helping try an accupuncurist at least twice. Hope this helps.

how uncanny was thinking of posting the same thing -and thankfully dome good ideas on threads for it. will get round to trying the tennis elbow support mentioned on here in link though im surprised it sits on forearm rather than elbow.
my elbow aches a lot its not neccessarily over bearing just uncomfortable feel it most when im winding hose in. confess ive thought of a course to see how my pole technique is coz i use my right hand to hold near base of pole and push and use my right hand above the flow tap on pole to steady and steer the pole. could this be why ?
could anyone on here describe the tecnique they use when poling (im left handed but do most things right handed (no pun intended of barclays banker nature)
great topic and share authors concerns. ???

its not exactly a drug, they arnt a perscriprion drug, you can get them off the shelf in supermarkets, just a stronger version of asprin and acts as an anti inflamatory.

It definatly worked for me, you have to make sure it is positioned correctly and tight enough. I laso took and still take cod liver oil 1000mg glucosamine sulphate daily.

I was shown an exercise for tennis elbow by an acupuncturist.
Google it.
It brings up quite a few videos that may help.
I didn't see the one that I was shown but there looks to be quite a bit of info out there.
Of course it may not be tennis elbow but it sounds likely.
Nothing wrong with moderate doses of ibuprofen as a stopgap so long as you read the warnings before taking it.

Not being funny mate, but I know exactly what they are and what they do ............ I eat them like smaties, my point is, it's not always a good idea to recommend them to a total stranger, as I said, they could have an allergic reaction to them. If there was no risk at all they wouldn't have a leaflet inside describing what the possible side effects are. ;)
