Hi all so the last couple of days where to pole goes into the brush it has started spinning, i first thought it just was loose and needed screwing tight. This is not the case it just keeps spinning and is really not helpful as putting any pressure on ether edge of the brush just means it spins. Has anyone else had this problem and is there any simple fix?

Need new clamps, I had same problem.

No its not at h clamps the clamps are fin it is spinning at the brush just where the pole goes into the the fitting in the brush.
-
Either the aluminium screw thread is loose , in which case, clean it up apply araldite, or
If the brush screw thread keeps coming loose, maybe apply a little strip electrical tape and screw back on,
Should work fine

Yes it is spinning in the aluminium bit so bit of araldite then, silly question but how does it come out form the ally bit?
-
should be a allen key
-
The sly is only glued in, so it should pull off,
I was advised if you gently warm the ally screw thread this will help release the glue.

Ive got 2 new 27 clx poles and the clamps on both of them are coming loose after less than a week, very badly glued - poor show Gardiners, Good poles but shocking glue >:(
-
Just got the pole out and after looking closer it is the ally screw bit at end of pole which is spinning just pulled it out hardly any glue at all. Not had it long, as said above great poles but glue is shocking. Maybe time to review the glue they use.
Anyway is araldite the best to use?
-
Yes Araldite is perfect

So you are saying the actual gooseneck screw tip is coming out? You must have old stock, because only the old goosenecks had them glued in, the new ones are all welded. Give them a call, they will send you a new one asap like they did with me. :)

Yes at the end of the pole the metal screw bit that screws into goosneck was spinning just pulled it out the end of pole. I dont see why i have an old one only had this pole a couple of months.
Here is a couple of pics

Oh I see what you mean, it's not the aluminium gooseneck, it's the bit that goes in the pole. Sorry for the confusion.
Yea that's just a lack of glue, not really good, but then again, it's easy to fix. You can either send your pole to them to get it fixed, or do it yourself. Make sure you get the old residue off first.
-
Yes i can't believe that after a couple of months it is falling apart, guess it will be the clamps next
-
Be thankful it is something simple to fix.
As poles go, that isnt even a problem, most poles are useless after 6 months anyway, a bit of glue will give you another 12 months with that pole easy.
Get your self some Araldite and have it as part of your toolkit in the van.

Off to get some now visit to macsalvers I think ;)

section 4 on mine has gone tody yes the glue is shocking :o
-
Araldite is cheap. most poles need maintainence. I wouldn't take it as a big criticism of the pole, its just the way it is.

may as well sell it me m8 ;D ;D ;D ;D
