ive been using a monster 25L DI for purifying my water and its lasted me 5 months.i use roughly 1200L A WEEK.my tap tds is usually 35-70 and its now gone up to 110!!does your tap tds fluctuate this much?

yea mine went from 35 - 90, it depends on which reservoir they get it from

tds not high enough to get an ro machine.in fact id have to give up wfp if i had to resort to that!!(im on a water meter in a first floor flat!) ::) ;D ;D

cant u get hold of rainwater? id think in your area it rains A LOT

no room for a water butt.but how do you guys who use rainwater get on with it?surely you cant catch enough to use on a full days work?(say 300-350L)? ??? ???

Jeff Brimble is the man to ask about rainwater, but should be really good to use and as he can clean a whole house with a thimble full of water i'm sure there is more than enough falling out of the sky.
i'm near the broads have and have thought about piping that straight into the ro :-\
tap TDS changes all the time - wait till a mains breaks and they bodge a repair to see how high TDS can go :-X

Mine has shot up too. From 028 to 035, shocking!!
It will be a change of reservoir most probably. I'm only a few miles from you daz, they seem to switch them quite frquently round here, I'm just hoping mine stays as is.

TDS changes here from low 200's to 350ish...
