Title: oil stain shadowing
Post by: Alan McTernan on November 04, 2010, 05:51:39 pm
Hi Guys,

Have just removed an oil stain for one of our clients. But there is still a shadow, used Hot Box and 4 of our different chemicals.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Alan

I spoke to Tensid about some removal on block or concrete about twelve months ago and if I remember right they have poultices that you can leave on for up to 24 hours. Roger might know more on this one.

What have you tried ? Acetone, clean then cover with fullers earth when dry, The fullers Earth will wick out any oil near the surface but it needs to be dry weather

I don't know about the health shops. I get mine from Liberon (New Romney) but Brewer's sell it.

Brewers have to order fullers earth in. Get some acetone and comma solvant degreaser then you'll get most oil stains out except the really stubborn synthetic ones

Fleetclean from Spillaway , is all I use now , it can be safely flushed down the drain ,and  is very effective.
