How do you get ivy off upvc?

Get the customer to cut the ivy.  Then they wait a month and peel the (now dead) ivy.  Then you keep washing the remains of the roots every time you go.  In six months it'll have gone through a combination of rotting and washing.

there is a very small time line to remove ivy
to get the best results
cut stem on the bit you want to remove
8 to 12 days later gently pull off
