Having read Ian post below does anyone have a tracking device on their van. If so how much and are they really 'fool proof' against theft or at least recovery.
thanks

i was thinking the same thing but i've thought of puting a tracker on my tm because my van is insured but my tm isnt so if the van is nicked i will get paid for the van and not the tm, and value wise its about the same.
have you had your new boxxer yet

Trackers I believe are in the £500 including 1st subscription, a friend same as Dave has them fitted worth the investment as one went missing a few weeks ago.
Have I got one that would be telling as Ian’s gagging for a Tm and his only a few miles from me! What I like about one of my other security system if you get to close Queens English is not its first langue and it a female voice (no sexist remark intended)

Bet you are counting down the day, I know I was!

hi there,
navman do a system, that you can lease or buy, and then a subscription.
there are a lot of advantages to them.
you can monitor the vehicles from any pc, and gives you an amazing amount of info, it will even tell you if the vehicle is being moved and the engine hasnt been started. you can then configure your email to send that info to your mobile.
another use is that you can prove to the tax man, that the vehicle is only ever used for business miles or not as the case maybe.

I remember some time ago Nick VW posted that he was thinking about it, might be worth giving him a ring, I' m sure he'll help if he can.

I enquired to having one fitted to my machine after having one stolen, but the salesman said they are only good if they are on the road, if they are in a garage or building then they can't be traced.
