because I just spent £50 on a whole load of Unger rubbers and I thought I'd had a bad batch.
EVERY rubber I tried was sub-standard, left streaks and big 'snail trails'. From Wednesday onwards, it was like going back in time, as in I was spending more time scrimming than squeegieing.
It was really doing my head it. I chopped and changed and turned them round to see if I could get a decent edge. All the while I was forumulating a bad-tempered post to stick up here warning people - don't buy Unger - they're rubbish.
Anyway, wasn't the rubbers at all. My channel is slightly bent; I must've jammed it in the car door or something, and the rubbers work fine!
DOH!

easy mistake to make Tosh.I bet you dont do that again ,thats the thing with W/c ,you never stop learning ,i suffered with that prblem about 4 years ago.so now i am never fooled again by that one.
The same thing can occur when you have dropped your squeegie from a great height.

I had the same thing. It took me days to realise it was the channel. It was really hard to see the bend in it but even the slightest gives a bad job.

That's how it happened. I thought I couldn't remember trapping it in the car door! But I do remember dropping it from the top of my ladder!!
Aye, live and learn. I wish I posted something Wednesday evening about my 'bad batch of rubbers', then I wouldn't have had a rotten Thursday, Friday and Saturday (I worked today, 11am to 5 pm).
Once I worked out that it was my bent channel; I went to get Wor Lasses squeegie, but she'd taken it out to clean our own windows (which the 'Mad Get' does every week). I was really cross about that at the time.
So I ended up using a 26" squeegie (I'm guessing the size - a big one) on residential and spraying and scrimming those windows where the big squeegie didn't fit.
It's strange how something so simple can be so frustrating!!!

Rubbers dont seem to last as long as they used to, do like the unger rubbers though but i use the pulex ones these days
