Had a flash of sanity for a change earlier today and decided to stop working for free. I have a couple of large blocks that I have been doing for a while. There was a change in the company who manages the sites and since the change, no payment { on either one }. I thought at first it was due to admin delays of some sort but luckily, I bumped into the gardner for both sites today and we got chatting. He hasn't been paid on either site either, and without boring you more than nec' this particular company seem to think it's good practice to not pay the window cleaners or gardners who eventually get fed up and stop providing the service.
They then get replacement companies in and on it goes.
anyone else been treated like this and what did you do to get the cash. One site is £400, the other £600 and for a while I have been thinking "I don't want to lose them because they are decent sites" but I have been taken for a muppet. >:( >:( >:(

If you're going to drop it, I'd suggest you call round your local window cleaners and let them know what's happening.
1. They won't get stiffed
2. The property management company might have to come back to you at which point you offer them double the price with a 50% reduction for prompt payment.

might be worth going down the debt collection route, have you asked when they are going to pay you?
-
i presume your contract is with the old pm co not the new
did they not inform you there was a change in management looming
you may be cleaning for free if you have no contract with them
-
Is there a residents comitee? If so speak to the chairman. I'm sure they wont want their service charges going straight in the PM company pocket.

I would knock them on the head estate agents are mostly liars and property management is the same
-
Go to their office.
Demand payment now. If they have customers in it works better.
Don't leave without it.
-
i did a lot for letting agents and believe me getting the cash out of them is a sod you have to have a talk to them and sort this out mate its not nice practice but it happens
