Title: Putting your foot in it
Post by: wayne zabel on November 01, 2010, 09:50:05 pm
I'm sure weve all put our foot in it from time to time.......had a real clanger today.

Did 3 rugs for an ASIAN lady today.....job went great, minging rugs cleaned up great.

Just packing up when she asks me...can you get make up out of carpets?

Yes I said most times I can get mascara ect ect out of carperts.....Yhe only thing I cant get out is fake tan if youve been using that.

Could have died the minute I said it.

Years ago when we used to do a lot of window cleaning.
A bit of chit chat when collecting the money.....
Me: "Oh congratulations you're pregnant again"
Her: "Oh I'm not pregnant just haven't lost the weight since the last one"

Me crawling along the path back to the van.
How to win friends and influence people :o

It did get a laugh from the three of them. ;D ;D

Did a beauty the other day. Parked the van in the driveway which was very narrow. The custy stood watching. I decided to put the van back on the road because it was to difficult to get passed the van.
After that she said why didn't you leave it in the drive. "Well it was difficult for me to get passed the van so you would have no chance" Followed by " I don't mean that how it sounds, honestly I wasn't trying to say you're ......"  :o

The thing is once you have said it there really is nothing you you can say to make it right.

Reversing into the drive of number "15", demolishing rockery at same time.

Realising that there is no #13 and I'm at the wrong house.

2 young men at a huge Victorian house I was cleaning, I said "I'll do my best with these stains, but sometimes laying a brand new carpet won't get you all of deposit back from your landlord, they're such greedy w***ers!!!"

One of the young lads pipes up...."I am the landlord... and he's my tenant!!!!"

Did it again yesterday ;D
Turned up to a right minger of an EOT.
There I was rubbing the sole of my trainer across the living room carpet watching clumps of hair gathering up.

Me: There's a lot of hair here what sort of dog have you got?
Him: We haven't got a dog that'll be my girlfriends hair.

I might as well have finished it off with "Does she molt all year long or just the summers." ;D
I swear the whole place hadn't been vacuumed once in the 2 years they'd been there >:(
