Title: Daily revenue
Post by: Matthew JN on October 29, 2010, 08:09:42 pm
Hi all,

I know this is a delicate subject, but i'm curious to see if i am in the right ballpark here.

So for myself working on my own WFP i would expect a daily revenue of around £150 - £180, and that would be starting first job at around 9am and finish no later than 4pm and that would be spread across anything from 6 to 12 residential jobs.

Don't want to big anything up guys its just that i get home every day and my shoulders and neck ache, and then its on the laptop updating the payment sheets, chasing money etc.  and i am starting to wonder if its all worth it for the sake of my body mainly.

I started in 2007 WFP mostly with occasional trad.

Was using hybrid XTEL 24ft the Varitech N-Tech version, although have just switched to a CLX27 which i have using for 2 weeks.  Nowhere near as smooth to open/close as the N-Tech but sameish lightness.

Suggest the slx, very strong, not at all whippy,

And go for regular manipulation at a good osteopath.
Also some regular stretching using arms & shoulders will help.
In a way, after your last job a few stretching exercises can help your muscles warm down
It's like after exercising say at a gym, you do a warm down to reduce aching muscles the next day.

it depends on so many factors!

what part of my round im on

hours worked etc.

i would be disapointed if i earned less than £150 for a full days work.

some days are only half days due to weather/motivation.

today im only going out for a few hours(local work)£60!!but then im helping girlfriend with haloween party we re having tommorrow!! ::) ;D ;D ;D

best day ive had so far on my regular window cleaning work is £250.id be minted if it was every day though! ::) ::) ;D ;D

not every day is full especially when it's raining.but if i work all day i can easy achieve 200-250.sometimes on thurdays i work from 06.30 to 17 and do 300 but i have days when i only do 100 or maybe less so it's not always the same .but i wouldn't want to work all day every day as i would be disabled after a few years.i also do carpet cleaning which is better money and i can do 150 in 3-4 hours.but it's always up's and downs

You should always rob the post office on pension day, not at the start of the week, john - then you'd get more money.  ;D

treat yourself to a 18 slx - after 7 years wfp trying every length of pole and make - these are the best ive come across that are easy on the body - no flex so the bodys not trying to counter the wip from glass poles .
i now go home without the neck, back pains

and if you got the time to take apart the sections - the carbon fishing pole is lighter still - try to make it easy

when i started we was lugging round heavy 25 footer's even for a bungalow - its a wonder i can walk now lol

price wise - ive got one job where i make 450 window cleaning from 8-4pm - just need another 20 of those then ide be minted

averege 120-160 on own - 200-250 with lad is not uncomman - lone working is harder as its easy to sit and have that 2 hour lunch break ie ill just have ten more nims in van ,

TBH wish id gone the extra money for SLX25 - but CLX27 seemed a good deal at the time. Used to train in the gym up to 3 times a week but that seems to have reduced to maybe 3 times a month now lol.
