how do you combat the frost freezing the water in your hose, pump and tank.
is it a problem,
do some of you use heaters if so which ones.
i was given an idea of running anti freeze through the system on an evening and then purging with di in the morning. will this rot my microbore?
i live on the dales so its gets pretty bad here.
any advice welcomed

insulate ur pipes, do u have a ibc tank or just tank in van
if you can try to fill in morning, put a few litres of hot water in first and run that threw, put reel in house if you can,
get a high tog blanket from asda and cover back of van with it
or get 12v electric blanket and cover your stuff with it

I have a 3kw heater ticking away in the van, on low setting on really cold nights.

When I know it's going to cold...the pump box and reel come out of the van the tank is emptied into the holding tank All hoses in the van are angled to allow draining.
After that it's just a question of putting it all back in the morning which is no biggy...as the tank in the van needs to be filled anyhow....
Cheers
Dave.
