i think it is the springs and shocks, then u have to get the log book changed to 800,  as if you get pulled u might be over the 600 limit,  the police will just impound it and then let u argue it later

You'll have to change the springs and shocks on the front, but you'll have to change all the rear axell as the springs are built in ............ I think!!

Best to ask Citroen. There is a technical support line at Citroen's HQ in Slough.

Front springs and shocks, rear shocks and torsion bar yes as the Berlingo has no rear springs. You will probably have to check if the brakes on the 800kg version are the same as the 600, if not they will have to be upgraded as well. Consider a good s/h rear axel complete, but you will need to get a qualified mechanic to fit it as the DVLA could need proof  that the conversion was done by a competent person in the interests of road safety.

Could also be an insurance issue as it would be classed as a modification.

Depending on the age and mileage of the vehicle I would probably consider replacing it with an 800 kg one and forget the conversion.

I appreciate that there are more 600kg vans out there than 800, but most of British Gas vans were 800kg spec.
