Title: Top Notch customers
Post by: gewindows on October 23, 2010, 10:47:13 am
Sometimes my customers are a pleasure to work for.

I do a big place about 15 miles from here. Its £190 every 3 weeks.

I invoice them every other visit.

I did them yesterday for the second time and invoiced them just before I set off to do them, for £380.

The posty has just been and a cheque has just arrived for £380 from said customer. You can't knock that.

 :)

Yes, there's too much bad news on this forum.

95% of my customers are glad I come and keen to pay their bills.  Life's good.

Although I have no individual jobs of that price, I would say that about 40% of my customers pay as quickly as that.  Another 40% take up to a couple of weeks (that's fine by me) and another 20% drag their heels a bit - a few of them badly so.
So if my cash flow is tight and a load of work is overdue, it doesn't take a genius to work out which customers will get priority.
Like yourself, I have some absolute gems of customers.  If I do a job and receive a cheque within a few days, I do feel genuinely appreciative.

a lot of my customers are top notch in the sense they pay up on time but i think there are a lot of newbies on here who ve not been going that long so they tend to get a lot of crappy customers!

i havent got any customers that i charge £190 to clean their windows though even my commercial are not that expensive!.it must be a seriously big house!! ;) ;D ;D

i could do with a few of them every month!! :D :D

It is big, not the biggest I do, but it is the most expensive domestic.

Its that much because the dog kennel windows get done too and that 30 quid  ;D

I wouldnt want to advertise the price of a property I do and show pictures of it. I think that would be foolhardy to say the least.
