Thats why he's asking for someone to show him the ropes now. I have a nice fat filled sewage tank to clean on the end of a pier next month - do you fancy a day on that ?

Rubbish.
How many times have we heard that.

I think it does slow down in the domestic market, but I still pull in a job a week without doing any specific marketing.
I'm sure if i kept looking for work i could still keep busy with it.

Thanks a lot BD. but kent is the other side of the country i would definately come for experience, nice of you to offer, no one on Teesside has replied when i have emailed companys, i am no threat for competition too small fry. i was going to go to Smart Seal training day but all they advise on is training on business side Not hands on tools or pressure washers as i had thought so i cancelled that idea. cae sera sera

Blastaway would you consider giving me a days work on the driveway / patio cleaning side using pressure washer / whirlaway etc. if any good weather forecast in future, i have looked a wee bit into it , how does the wheeley bin bit come to work. would you be best to connect a connector fitting to bottom of bin or just place hose in top of bin and close lid. any leads to which pressure washer to start up with not too expensive. just what extras to start up would i need to get started feed back from the lads with the expertease would be taken on board. THANKS.

the wheely bin set up above thread is a wee bit too costly, surely i can just feed hose into top of bin to suck water. can you fit an adaptor into bottom of bin to connect hose pipe from bin to pressure washer, if so what is connector bit called roughly how much

I cover the Northwest mate so you're too far away.
Sucking from a bin is your inlet feed from the pump goes into the bin with a weighted filter on the end of the hose and a hose pipe into the bin from the water tap. Directly onto the pump from the tap won't always supply you with full pressure. Also from the pump on your machine it's best to have your return hose put into the bin too. This extends the life on the pump as the water won't be returning round the pump head when the trigger isn't squeezed.
Inlet and return are always zip tied together traditionally.

advice taken on board

You need a bulkhead fitting - a long nipple with a nut. By using this rather than making the machine suck the water will give the pump a positive pressure on the supply hose

thanks for info
-
do you fit this bulkhead onto your wheely bin at near bottom then connect pressure hose on to it, sounds too easy. :o
-
Yes - my suction strainer screws to the inside, easy. I have a second fitting for the return hose and a high flow float valve with a 3/4" thread that the hose fits.
Wheely bin £38
Fittings £25
Float v/v about £16
And about an hours work
