Hi peep's would any 1 be able 2 point me in the right direction, i have a conny roof 2 do next week but the thing is it has not been cleaned for 4 years
and all the sap and stuff have gone rock hard does any one no what i could use to break it up.

the dirtiest roof I have done I had to soak the roof with loads and loads of TFR. Most of it came off but I had to use a metal scrapper to take the stubborn bits off.

if its that bad we use tfr undiluted and never had a problem and we do alot of upvc

is the tfr from b & Q okay to use or is there a trade rand worth getting?
also how do you apply on conny roof - im guessing dip brush scrub on without water flow and then turn water on to rinse thouroughly off (otherwise any left on will set hard and be difficult to remove..yes??)
how much time before its dries...especially if its a sunspot?
would you then continue to use that brush head on windows (does the flowing water naturally rinse the brush head out?)....or do you use different brush head?
have wondered myself as had some manky ones

I always wet the conny roof first then apply TRF with a tree/ plant spray. then brush with a harder brush before a rince with tap water.Then onlt pole with pure.

TFR is Traffic Film Remover.
You can get it online (ensure its the non-caustic variety).
Or Halfords sell it as caravan cleaner.
Or B+Q sell it.

I presume the TFR from B&Q is ok but make sure its NON-CAUSTIC! I think I bought from window cleaning warehouse. Buy a spayer from B&Q. Hoselock do a good one that holds about 15-20 litres (I think). dilute it as instructions on TFR and spray onto con roof. Leave it for about 10 minutes (clean house windows and hint for a cup of tea during this time!!). Get an OLD pole and connect it up to the customers tap and turn pressure up and scrub roof. It should come off easily enough. If its a glass roof it is best to rinse with a clean brush and DI water afterwards as it will get rid of any spotting. No need if its a polycarbonate roof.

The B+Q tfr that people are talking about is the swarfega multisurface cleaner (comes in a red bottle with a garden chair on the front I think).....unless there's some other B+Q tfr I don't know about.

if its caked on black it will take some serious scrubbing cleaned a small greenhouse roof once it took 30 mins to get it off roof had to scrub by hand with brush even using tfr be prepared for a really difficult job
