-
hope so
-
Here here; especially in Plymouth ;D
-
Not me. As a die-hard newbie i reckon the ice will get me more respect, more demand & of course more dough as people will see me as not "just another fly-by-night".
-
it will sort out the men from the boys ;) now where did i hear that ;D
-
i grafted all summer to make sure ive got enuf to cover my bills for the next 5 months , every day from now until march will be a bonus make hay while the sun shines and plod on during the winter months .
-
hope so
now thats just plain nasty - I'm not leaving coz it's cold, just growing more hair on my palms ;D
-
Where is this frost?????
-
Where is this frost?????
tha smog over Brisol keeps the frost off mate ;)
-
Its a bit colder now but it has been really nice warm and sunny here for quite a while now, dont think it will last much longer though
-
nice warm day here today, nippy tonight, mrs just sent me out to cover up all the kids pets. Always my bloody job ::)
-
IT was -2 last night here, a bit further north it was snowing and there was a thick frost on the windscreen this morning, I wore gloves for the first hour this morning and even had my hat on for a while
-
i might just jack it in just cos its so bloody boring!
no steve remember the awful call centre and £8 per hour!
-
Its simple economics really, if you are in business and have to earn a wage you work in all weathers all year round !
If however you are claiming benefits and decide to a bit on the side ie window cleaning you can take the winter months off ;D
-
Yada yada heard all this last year and guess wat there is a ressesion on not ma many jobs around so more people are trying anything to get work including window cleaning,so for the forseeable future I would say get used to the cowboys and doleies there ere to stay

Last year wasn't bad. Ok a bit of snow but otherwise I didn't find it too much of a problem. Its a question of having the right clothes and getting your kit sorted out.
-
I think many have forgotten how bad it was for many w/c...many were on here screaming about not being able to work....
I remember it clearly...it was bad and no amount of kit preparation will stop the water freezing on the glass.
Not trying to put a downer on it but not trying to 'under cook' it either.
Cheers
Dave.

a lot of the newbies tend to be Don Henleys and come the cold they tend to look for warmer pastures in factories and warehouses and supermarkets.
but rest assured come the spring they will return :D

If you mean last winter then :o. Wasn`t bad? ;D
I had the right clothes ok- shorts and t-shirt. And the right kit-cental heating on, the fire on and remote control at my side 8).

hope so
;D
-
Some of us are still wearing shorts. Not for much longer though !!!
-
Unless we have the extreme couple of weeks we had last year .... it will be fine, the sun sorts out the glass by 10am anyway, and oil filled radiator overnite sorts the van,
stop fretting yer bloody wimps ;D ;D

Wfp is a doddle in the winter compared to using trad window cleaning holding on to a cold aluminium ladder and submersing your hands in a bucket of hot water that quickly turns cold in the winter even with a lid on it. Oh and at least with wfp wearing gloves is optional.
If you think wfp is troublesome in winter just think back to when you was trad with cold hands and chapped skin, freezing at times. especially first thing in the morning until your hands started tingling as they were starting to warm up for the remainder of the day.

we want lots of wind and that will get rid of a few windiow cleaners
