Title: Faux Suede Cleaning

Hi Guys

I have a custoemer who wants a faux suede suite cleaning it is reually dirty and is dark brown in color any ideas what works cfor you guys will try pure clean aor a mivcrosplit and to cloth it off.

Any positive ideas please

microsplitter and hot water extract, don't forget your camera and get ready to catch your customers jaw when she see's the results. ;D

As derek said false suede cleans up well microsplitter tampico brush then warm flush

Micro splitter and keep the temperature of the rinse to just above warm and finish with a towel to set the nap.
I tend to use an external jet stair type hand tool and spray from 4" - 6" away over smallish areas, then dry pass to keep the moisture level down.

personally for me, i rinse at full temp and never had a problem with getting faux suede dry before i leave, i use a drymaster as normal, about 150psi and put blower on it. quick brush to set the pile and hey presto, a customer for life.

HWE and reset with terry towel, avoid solvents and high temp otherwise you risk delamination.

I have used M Power and got very good results, but as said i kept temp down

I've been cleaning one of these regularly ( 6 monthly, there are two small dogs ) for the past 5 years and started with HWE, went on to Von Schrader machine and then Dry Foam with Bonnet Mitts.

The last of these has proven to be far superior in terms of.............

  *  Standard of clean
  *  Lack of re soiling
  *  Time taken to complete the job

Some HWE diehards will suggest it's impossible to achieve as high a standard as they do, using this method and continue along their chosen path, just as some believe the Volvo Estate, or the Land Rover or Classic Martial Arts are unbeatable, while others have Tried and Tested and made informed decisions after comparing methods.

With HWE you could find delamination even without solvents and the tracks left by upholstery tools will need to be brushed out or towelled and you will also need to assist drying by towelling or use a blower.

Robert could you please explain what chemicals are used and the method of using them to  dry foam upholstery, i have no experience of this method and would like to give it a go :)
