I've just completed an EOT job where the landlords have just moved back in.
It's a beige nylon carpet, where the previous occupant used Woolsafe (TM) approved supermarket spotters to "clean" spillages.
The carpet was pretty much bunged up with shampoo / residue that was black with white rings around the edges. You could see the pile was a different colour underneath.
To break these down I used Solutions M Power at normal dilution and rinsed with clean water (HWE).
Virtually every bit of dirt came out.
The trouble is that this carpet now has about twenty bleach marks where it was previously "treated". We are talking about a beige carpet that looks like someone has put white, hand sized, paint marks all over the traffic areas. The annoying thing is it's really clean.
All this was caused by an ordinary person who bought what they thought was correct carpet spotting solutions and used them as directed. I think the lawyers call this "the act of a reasonable man". How long before the lawyers get together and bring a class action?
I can just see the daytime TV adverts... "Have you used Woolsafe approved carpet spotters in the last three years? Call XXXXX for compensation".

You may as well go bang your head against the nearest wall, we know what these products do we see the results all the time, try and convince woolsafe :P

It won't happen Garry.
They have the 'test first' get out and also you can't prove they haven't used something else. Also they have a lot of money to throw at lawyers. Ambulance chasers choose their victims carefully.
