she used a rug doctor and put her furniture back. standard cleaning will not move this, pretty sure sod mets won't, not sure about HP. what else is there that may do the trick?
told her its a no go but worth a try if anyone's had good results from anything.

i Can see no reason why any rust remover will not tackle this, providing you are talking about the actual rust and not the rust and wood stain, sod met would be a last resort , and i would even try another well known product before the sodmet , but wont mention it on a c/c forum incase of comebacks from less experienced guys.but i,m sure most would guess any way .

Definately, lemon curd is for blackcurrent juice stains and apricot for cigarette burns.

For cig burns would you not use mr kiplins small apple pies. Scoff the pie and use the case as a cutter ;)

Marmalade works well on Gloss paint.

Does any one know how to get strawberry jam with seeds lemon curd apricot & marmalade out of me carpet had a bit of a disaster tonight ;D

There are a lot of different rust removers on the market that will give varing results. tthe best ones are the stapro andrestormate products (they are hydrofloric acid) they do need to be rinsed so that they do not degenerate the fibres. Not so important on synthetics. Rust is a basic everyday thing no big deal. If it is wood stain then you will more than likely have to bleach out.
