When did the previous guy last put his prices up?
Make sure you know. If he hasn't let them all know you will be charging the same as he was to start with, but if you find the price has to go up you'll give them fair notice. Let them see that you do a good thorough job. As good as, if not better than before, then they'll understand.

thanks for the advice,
I'm fully prepared for the cold and wet, doesn't worry me, does it bother the customers though ? do they still want there windows cleaned when the weather is bad?

I've only had one person turn me away because of the weather. It wasn't even raining but she had heard on the telly that morning there was chance of rain. I told her rain or shine i clean but she insisted i came back the next day or the next day it wasn't raining.
You can't work like that as you have bills to pay plus i find it makes no difference if it's raining or not, they still look and are clean.
I haven't been back to her since. 8) 8) 8)

I am also just starting up!!!! I have been making sure every window i clean is left looking as perfect as possible. Many customers have been saying what a good job i've done and how their last cleaner never wiped the frame/sills. I find this only takes seconds and leaves your customers very happy.
