Bizarre.

I've only had to deal with Ashbys a few times, but not had any problem with them. Parts delivered quickly, no problems at all.

Is it a "new" portable?
Apparantly they have a machine in the US so maybe they brought over here.
It is reconed the vacs are in parallel - after all those years Ashbys machines have been the best with the vacs series

My first machine was the Ninja pretty good machine, but it always had something wrong with it when it went in and i ended up spending a lot with them, being new i assumed they knew the machine and what they told me but in the end decided to look elswhere as i lost trust in them, i also asked for some of their own chemicals to try out bearing in mind the amount of money i spent with them but got nothing all i got was brochures every three months.
the patronising attitude by one person was also very irritating too

I cant see the point in it realy! no better than the Ninja, if they were  going to make a new machine you would think it would have three vacs!
I have had three ninjas over the years and they are a good machine, unfortunately they are let down by the aftersales service, or should i say the lack of it! if I ever spoke to Derek or Kath Ashby i always got good service but if you ever got one of the younger family the service was diar!

Speak as you find, I have Ashbys machines and chemicals and have dealt with them for four years since start up and have always had good service and help when requested. (discounts are a little hard to come by) but on the whole I have had good service.

I use a vac booster with my Ninja and Sensei machine which gives a powerful suction, it will be interesting to see how the parallel vacs perform.

Being in a poor part of the country and being especially poor myself (living in a rolled up newspaper in a sceptic tank) I got a discount when I bought my Sensei......and I was lucky!

Does the booster make a great deal of difference?

Been told new one 3 vacs, and told it's been designed by Derek,
It's not a ninja warrior.
It's a very large machine.
Darn it, should took pic
Also 2" vac hose.

I think if Ashbys have brought a new machine onto the market it would have to be a totally new concept as there is fierce competition now with the Airflex.

I have an Ashbys (old machine) which I use as a back up. Two hd vacs and 300 psi Stinger piston pump. It's a good all rounder as a back up and the Stinger is a good pump and motor combination. I don't know why Ashbys did not fit this to their machines.

I used to have the 400 psi Ashbys machine. It was an abomination. Why? Because they could only get a small motor  to fit into the machine to power the Pumptech pump.

Every 3 to 4 months the pump and motor would fail. Pump seals leaking and motor bearing housing wearing out, if not the capacitor. It cost me hundreds in maintenance.

Then I called Pumptech in the US to find out what the problem was. They said that the motor that is fitted is not substantial enough for the pump. Hence, the bearings wearing out due to load from the pump is causing the problems.

In other words the 400 psi machine had been designed wrong ::)

Now on other machines you will notice that a 1.5 horse power motor is fitted to the Pumptech pump....a BIG motor that is in the Airflex and other machines. This combination lasts for perhaps a year till is needs servicing.

I hope if Ashbys have a new machine it will be designed right.

Wouldnt touch Ashbys with a barge pole. Bought the crappy Ninja a few years ago from them brand new. Water pump packed in after 7 months. They wouldnt replace motor for free because I hadnt had their 6 month service. Nightmare !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the old boy still there. He is a nice chap. The Ninja is a good solid machine.

Many suppliers take the view that 90% of us will be out of business in a year so you might as well take them for all you can.

Luckily there are still some suppliers that cater for the other 10%  :)

The new beast is a monster portable mainly designed to work off van
with two massive vacs and two  inch hose not sure what they call it yet

It's a KARCHER !!

Century 400, the makers of the Ninja are now owned by Karcher. Their new model  the Warrior which is definately a portable as displayed in their video, having 500 psi and 3 stage twin vacs ( in parallel rather than in line ) which results in better air flow.

Unless the vacs are more powerfull versions I don't think it's a serious Van mount although it should be powerfull enough to extract  at least 75 feet from the machine.

The casing or carcass is not from the warrior, it's been developed by Ashbys.

Unable to find it which is a bit odd.............if you bring something new to the market you'd want maximum publicity to create interest

Maybe they thought........We will build the machine and the buyers will come.... out of the cornfields just as before .
