Hi,who sells them in u.k....... or are they only available in the u.s.?
Thanks.
-
There off eBay and there from the us
-
And the general consensus from previous posts seem to be steer clear, they have their problems.
-
on acs forum theres a complete section on these ;D
-
Thanks,
what are the other options for hot water systems?
-
I believe they are only on sale directly from the US because they are not CE marked, which is a requirement to sell them in the EU.

As you sell these i was just wondering,if the L5 is fitted inside of van, what happens with any fumes given off,i know the L10 has a flue and is around £80ish dearer, could this be a better & safer options, just a thought ???
-
Thanks guys ;)
i think one of the problems with this is ...the boiler cuts out after around 15 mins.
cant believe they only sell them in the U.S.
There must be an alternative.
-
jus buy one all u do is pay vat on it when it lands
then get nat jones tell u ow to best work it simples ;D ;D ;D

Think he said they from the U.S not..." us " ;)

They cant be sold within the UK as they are not CE rated.
You can get a bypass for the cut-off as you can for the flow rate for the ignition.
-
But good question.... does anyone know about the flue or fumes on the L5 ?
-
fit it to yr back door leave door open that will
let the gases out ;D ;D
-
And blow the flames out ;D
-
not a chance my m8 ad one was ok m8

The L5 is not CE marked, and you will need to check with your insurance about carrying gas & using a gas appliance in your van.
Personally I prefer fitting the heater inside the van, as fitted on the back door means it'll get shaken about the place every time you open & close the door,.. also its exposed to the weather & the flame could blow out.
My heater is fitted in the van with a flue fitted to vent the fumes through the van roof. I've also 3 other roof vents to let fresh air in AND holes in the van floor to allow any leaking gas to escape (gas is heavier than air).
You can get an ignition kit from the US distributors of the L5 with the 17 minute cutout disabled. I'd highly recommend it if you do go the L5 route.
Peter Fogwill has a CE marked unit which according to him is far superior (I'll reserve judgement till I hear some impartial reviews) which comes with a venting kit etc. It should be on sale very soon.

i am gaz, bought it of gac camms mate and never bothered to get the bits for it, according to nat the bits cost less than 100 and you need to get these for everyone you buy, i can pop over to acs forum and get the list if you want to buy mine. ive never used it but i believe they are a very good and cheap option of going hot and also the 17 minute cut out is also bypassable. contact me on cleanasawhistlewindows@hotmail.com if you want to chat away from here mate
