Title: sparkle cleans
Post by: basiljohn on October 17, 2010, 11:10:50 am
Hi all,
I have been asked by a developer that we work for to quote for cleaning 19 two bed and 5 one bed apartments (sparkle cleans) I have never done this before and feel a bit out of my depth but I am willing to give it a go as there is more on the way.
The apartments have laminate flooring to hall, bathroom and kitchen with the rest carpeted. There is plenty of white dust to the kitchen work surfaces.

How long per apartment?

Price per apartment?

What products to use on very dusty (white dust) black worktops?

Thanks for any help

We've done "sparkle" cleans in the past and all they are is what the name suggests! If the worktops are covered in dust I would think that a full builders clean has not be carried out,
Usually on each property there is a full builders clean, then a follow up clean and then just before the new owner moves in a sparkle clean.
Get the developer to give you a full spec of what is required first.
The you can determine your pricing.

If there is plenty of white builders dust to the the tops, then there will be plenty in the carpets and all over too! Don't put on polish or solutions first. Get your vac with the brush attachment and hoover everywhere thoroughly first, kitchen tops baths etc etc. Saves the dust turning to gunk and speeds things up.
