Title: Looking for a small pressure washer
Post by: pristinewindows on October 16, 2010, 09:08:14 am
I do 95% windows but have a couple of shops that want frontages cleaned. I need a small light machine.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Simon

I agree that the seller is a safe one. Bought a hose reel which arrived slightly damaged (clearly done in transit).

This was sorted immediately. Can't ask more than that.

How are you gonna feed the washer? Shop fronts and trailing hoses don't really go together. Have you a trailer and bowser? Didn't think so. When buying a pressure washer there is only one name, - Honda.

What's wrong with Yanmar?

I got no beef wit Yanmar, just didn't wanna see him get stitched up wit a Karcher, he did say a small light machine. But Yanmar's in my cool book brah, didn't mean to slag your artillery.

people who say only buy honda that's like saying only buy a certain car with a certain engine. Some of the other machines are just as good

There is only a certain car to buy with a certain engine. A rolls royce. Honda is the Rolls royce of pressure washers. There is a auction near me selling brand new 4000 psi 13 hp diesel washers for 450 plus the vat. I wouldn't touch them cause when it packs in - in 3 months time it will be a total mare loike dya know to get parts. Everyone knows honda. They'll go phorever, my ones earnt its money 30 times over. Go into any hire shop and hire a washer. 9 times out of ten you'll get a honda. Even when they are doing ram raids they always use a Honda - civic that is. That was an attempt at  humour by the way, for the faint hearted.

Ordered the honda, arrived next day. Tested and working. I am going to use pure water out of my tank as the jobs are only small.  :D

Sure thats a good Idea? The pressure won't be strong enough, or the output perhaps. Use your pure water for your WFP only bud. Or you'll wreck it. And then you'll be WFP - Workin for peanuts, ha ha ha . I kill me.

Sucking from a tank will be fine if your washer is capable of it although it is best to get the feed from the bottom of the tank and not by sticking your feed pipe into the top of the tank and making it suck the water upwards first.

Its designed to work off a reservoir not mains pressure so the pure water tank is perfect. Believe it or not the waasher also fits in my escort 55 behind my tank and Ive got room for a bucket and hose reel.
Obviously I will use regular water when i can get it
