Hi  I was cleaning a some carpets today and notice when i switched the pump on water start to drip from the jets off my wand . And when i was finishing this afternoon the drip was more like a small flow off water.
Anyone know how to fix this

Sounds like you require a new washer on your trigger.

Your trigger valve probably needs a repair kit, the seals wear after a while (much quicker using powdered detergents in-tank too)

Something like this:

but you need to know your valve design to get the right one, speak to your supplier

Also if the valve is very old, the valve body will wear and cause this leak and a repair kit will be useless because it will be too small for the worn hole it is supposed to fit in!

This guy supplies the kit that Jim mentioned or a complete valve. Just make sure you get the right one for your wand and the pressure.

It is nearly always an o ring that might cost a few pence. You can get o ring kits with 100s in for a few quid.

As Jim said - get a kit (£10) from a supplier of wands, or you may have to replace the whole trigger assembly (£25).  You may get a O ring in a box of O rings from the likes of Screwfix.
I would get 2 kits cause you will use one straight away, and you will need one some time in the future when least expected.

Gavin, if the kit I posted above is suitable for your wand, your trigger valve will have a nut which you unscrew to disassemble.

Inside will be the little round thing which is a spacer, and the flat end of the valve stem sits against it.  The valve stem pokes up through the valve body, and the rounded end is the bit which sticks out - that is what your trigger pushes down upon when you operate the wand.

Replace with the new spring, as they wear over time.  You might even find your current spring is broken but still partly functioning, that can cause drips.  If your old spring is still in one piece keep it as a spare.

As Joe says, order at least 2 so you have spares, only takes 2 minutes to replace valve assembly but you'll look a plonker if you can't finish a job because of such a trivial thing!
