The older generation are the only ones that seem to want their windows cleaned on a regular basis. The younger ones don't seem to care so much.
Your thoughts..

I thought about this last week when someone else mentioned it and i have a right cross section in my customer list so no I would say as mine range from 18 to about 90 odd
maybe a region and age thing ??

I can't wait that long! ;)
I'm not worried. Just thought it might be a good topic for opinions.

One trend I have noticed over the last few years is that I am not picking up as much work from the new house owners. I'm talking here about the new people that move into a house that I have been cleaning for years.
Fewer people seem bothered about having their windows cleaned.

I mentioned this in a post the other day that the younger generation don't seem to be as house proud as the older generation. some of my older customers are so set on having their windows cleaned each month and if they are having visitors over then they even call me and ask if I can come early.
a fair percentage of younger ones are caught up in the fast food culture and just cant be arsed cleaning nor getting their windows cleaned.

i agree at least 4 new house buyers have bought houses on an estate i clean and theyre not interested in clean windows.all four have not been cleaned for over a year now and are filthy!!
i think ill be ok for the next 30 years as the grey brigade population gets bigger and bigger!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Maybe it is.
Everything changes though. I think longer between cleans will be the norm with better equipment and processes.
We have had and are enjoying a boom in the industry currently that will slow down at some point with all the new cleaners and companies that have started. This will have the affect of driving prices down as the customer will have far more choice, until the market settles again.
I dont think we should worry about it though, we should just be-aware and react where we can.
