Title: 13 hr domestic @ £16 hr
Post by: windolene on October 14, 2010, 07:35:40 pm
Hi,

I finished one of my quarterly houses today. 13 hours over two days doing the outside Wednesday with the insides today with a few  much smaller  jobs in between.  This is a huge house with georgian sash windows making each window 12 separate squares. I am traditionial so each 11 inch square was cleaned in two strokes with a 6 inch squeegee with wiping the top edge glass to get a dry start & wiping the blade after each stroke. Not hard work but long work. When presenting the £200 cheque she said that I ought to increase it a bit for next time as she had made a note of my hours.

Why dont you get a 12" channel and cut it down to size?

Hi,

Oxshott.

I did consider cutting a  channel to size as I have many times before on other jobs, I will do for next time!

I have one of those too but not as big.
The outsides are easy with WFP, but the quickest method for doing the insides has been a spray bottle with a scrim. Believe me I have tried everything else but it's not as fast.
