Hi this is a set up i am doing at the moment to protect all the wfp stuff i have in my garage hope you like!

What happens if the phone goes off and you are 25 miles away from the garage?  ::)

there is ways you can have upto 4 numbers and it will keep calling them, you could add a neighbour and a couple of friends who you know will be close by when you are out.

james the time and effort and cost of making that IED I mean alarm, you would be cheaper buying a yale remote alarm that does the same thing and can be fitted in minutes, you can buy them anywhere

Yes stu i know but they only have a 30mtr range!

did not know that mate glad I never bought one then my lock up is a good 50m away

Cheap way of remote diallling but is still flawed in a break in situation. I.e if the signal was bad and the call attempt failed. Plus the whole point of a system monitored by a central staion using for example BT redcare, is that A: alarm activation AND the line connnection is monitored, and that B: central station will be able to get you a priority police response.

Would be a good addition to a Redcare landline as a back-up GSM line though.
