Title: having a bit of a nightmare

had my ionic machine converted to a two man system evfin been runnin fine for couple of months till now turning the switches to turn pumps on and it aint suckin water sumtimes or 1 pumps works and the other doesnt then they both work then they dont then the other works then stops catch me drift.... fort it may have been sumfin to do with the battery i have a split relay from main van batt to the leisure battery but took it too an auto electrician today and evfin seemed fine when he tested it all.one of the pumps is pretty much brand new when van was converted to two man system, do u think this could be a case of air blocks??? i dont actually use the filter system to fill tank i fill from a static tank

seems there is a blockage in the pump probably got some dirt in there just  disconnect hoses and give the pump a good blow to clear then try had this with bkpk works fab now

or it could be a kink in the pole hoses does that sometimes

Hi Richy

im having the same problems with my machine, what was the problem in the end?

ive replaced a pump that died and the battery, was it the flow control units or wiring/connections?

anyone else had this problem if so how did you resolve it?

I had a pump which I had a few problems with, but I just used to let it run for 20 seconds or so to get the water pumping through it in the morning before I connected it to my 100mtr of microbore hose, then it was fine. Not sure if this is any help, I've never had an expensive system before.. just a pump and a battery!!  :)

Hi Rich.

I know you said you tried the battery but just try starting the van and then try the pumps

also I find that my cold pump will cut off as soon as I disconect the pole  where as the hot stays on ok

Rich,

If you let the engine of the van idle, are you still having the same problems with the pumps? If you aren't then the battery is the problem.

It may need to be fully charged as a SCR won't fully charge the second battery if you don't do much mileage. If its showing that it is fully charged but has no capacity then the battery needs to be replaced.
