I need a big pole just on a few houses so I am looking at either the hydra or the extel.
Both are similar cost but the hydra has the 3 year guarantee.
Any comments before i spend my money ?
Thanks ;D

I have both. Go for the alloy. Bit heavier but a lot more rigid when full. The xtel at full length is terrible IMO.

Save up a bit more money and buy a CLX or SLX if i was you, i have a 18ft Brodex alloy and a 17ft xtel and they are both crap compared to the Gardiners poles!!

Agree with that.
Buy cheap you will end up buying twice.get a good pole first time.
Not worth buying cheap rubbish poles.

if clx are cheaper than the brodex and xtel that is a shock because its so much better than the 2 other poles!
