need some advice please lads, bought my ro 4040 about 6 months ago, when i first used it i was getting a reading of between 12-18. The best i can get now is 76 :o I have got a clarke booster pump but this is still to high i am using so much resin its not good. I now there was a thread not that long ago with simalar thing but cant find it.
Can anyone post the link for me or have any ideas?

it might be the seals need checking that waste water isnt leaking back in, have you flushed the ro as well.
-
I'd change the pre filters. Depening on how much water you produce, 3 months is long enough for these. Pay special attention to the carbon filter as chlorine will ruin the membrane.

lee i have flushed for a while, what seals do you mean, is it the big round ones on either end of the ro?
Aj i have replaced the pre filters a little while ago, this made no difference to tds. this is the second time this has happened. surely these membrane must last longer than 6 months.
Could it be the housing itself? ??? doin my head in.

When you changed the filters, it is possible to not seat the o ring properly. This will allow chlorine to pass through. Take it all apart and refit all the seals. A little silicone on them should help the seal. Also, don't over tighten.

Thanks aj i'l give that a whirl.
