Title: What van?
Post by: Egg on October 11, 2010, 04:11:45 pm
I'm after a new van, my one is on its last legs, and was after some advice.

Don't want to spend more than 2 grand, i'm after a small van which can comfortably fit and carry a 250 litre tank plus the rest of my gear.

I've haven't really got much idea, just would like something i can get a few years out of and not have to spend a small fortune on repairs. Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would recommend the VW Caddy vans we have 2 and they have been great and very easy to get parts for.

you guys with 250 tanks and 350 is that enough water

how many hours do you work if you dont mind me asking a day

only when i get a van i want 650 minimum as i reckon i will easily use 500 most days and then some for big days or a helper

you wont get a decent  connect though for 2 grand or a dispatch/scudo etc.

get a kangoo.very cheap plus you can fit 250L TANK and trad gear in the back.

mines a 625kg payload and carry 250-300L A DAY /trolley/ladders etc

i clean 20-30 small 3 bedders with this amount and still come back with half a barrel or so!

i do trad the odd ground floors on the occasional property though.

regards

i just got a very nice lwb t230 for £2600, so if you only need a small tank then a swb t200 will be fine and i fyo ulook around you will be able to get on for £2000ish, but look for private sellers not the traders that are on auto trader.
