Title: Extel pole prices.
Post by: geefree on October 10, 2010, 07:21:15 pm
Hi,

which company do you all use for your poles,

just looking around , as .. with v.a.t and delivery it pays to shop around.

cheapest for a 27ft extel is 109 plus vat plus delivery.

anyone found any better deals ?

Thanks.

I know its not what your asking, but I'd go for the cl-x 27

Its £50 more, but will save your health.

I was having massive shoulder pains (was using hydras)... Changed over to cl-x and the were gone in a couple of days. I now have a bucket load of dihydracodine sitting in my first aid bag. Quite funny I got prescribed them really.

the weight of a 27 clx is 1800g
the weight of a 28 xtel is 2850g

if  a 1000g makes any difference to u  then get the clx,  but it didnt bother me   i got mine from wintecs, but pay cash

1000g isn't a massive amount of weight. However when its combined with the leverage of a pole the physical exertion required to move it is quite substantial. To put that into a real perspective i have a 30 foot fibre glass facelift which weighs about 2900g and i dread getting the thing out and no way clean anything lower than i need to with it. A CLX weighing 1800g i can use all day.
Anyway, i thought a 27" Extel was heavier, weighing in around 3200g ?

Yeah it only says "approx weight", as they all do  really. Have you used a 27 CLX though , for comparison?

Yeah, Jeff needs to get his timing sorted out. I ordered and got my CLX's (three of them) and then a week or so later he brings out his telescopic !! It looks a briliant 20 foot pole.

A full carbon 21ft pole for £75 you can't moan at that you couldn't buy a battered secondhand one for that

WCW are doing a bare pole if you don't want the rest of the stuff that you usually get with a new pole.
