Most of my custies know I am a jw and so don't offer tips.

Yet strangely over the last three years I have been given within £2 of £100 each year altogether. Plus a couple of bottles. This was a nice little days bonus but now is less than 4 hours work and quite insignificant in monetary terms.

Without wishing to be funny isn't it a little wrong to take Christmas tips when you don't celebrate Christmas????

Eh? What does that mean?? you don't have to be Christian to accept tips at Christmas. I tip my postman at X-mas and he is a Muslim. Its an end-of-the-year-and-thank-you-for-your-good-service-over-the-past-twelve-months tip. Nothing more!

If Christmas bothers someone, it's easy to think of it as an end of year tip instead.  Can't see the problem really.

the best thing to do is dont expect anything extra at xmas and anything else is a bonus.

saying that the last few years ive had £500+ in tips every year!

im going to new york for a week the  day after boxing day for new year. ill have plenty of money for the trip anyway. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Dont think anyone should be expecting xmas tips in any year, it is up to the custy to give you a tip and not expect it from them.

But I do well from the extra money from custies and all the Roses, Quality Streets, Celebrations etc.
