Post by: lee_dewing on October 10, 2010, 09:13:14 am
I have a wcw yellow backpack (mrk 1)

Anyone hoooked up a remote control unit to one of these?

See this on maplins site http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=265472#helpfaq

wondered if it would do the trick?

Doesn't give dimensions on maplins for remote unit (i can't see anyway)

Any advice on this appriecieatd.

I had one of Peter Fogwill's trolleys with remote control when I started off and it never worked right from day one.

It would switch on from about 30 feet away but you had to be really close to switch off. My bro. who's a bit "Lecky Tricky" says it's because the pump motor brushes cause interference with the signal when the pump is spinning.

So put a tap on your hose.
