i do window cleaning in all areas some of you are the same correct me if i am wrong but shorely if you are working near the sea you will get lots of sand up the internals of the pole which will knacker a carbon pole in know time :-\ :-\ :-\

-
If you're that worried rinse it out every evening - end of problem.

Or stay off the beach ;)
-
Or replace the beach with hydrophobic sand  ???

-
I work on the coast and the only sand thats a problem is
 builders sand on new developments

 Darran

I have a few jobs actually on the beach, Sand gets all over everythin, the only thing to do is to rinse everything off thoroughly. I have a 3 week old slx, no probs so far.

-
they use carbon fibre on windsurfing equipment and that lasts a while and it gets covered in sea water never had any problems just rinse off

I think it more about the sliding of the telescopic sections that can cause a problem. When grit gets into the sections they can wear the length of the pole, effectivly wearing the section to a narrower diamater and leaving the clamp unable to clamp
