Hi Guys,
We do have a WFP system, and amazingly we do use it. However we are mainly traditional due to the height of the windows we clean.
We have been asked if we could clean a block of flats 4 storey's high. So I am assuming we would require a 40 foot pole? Is this correct? Or would we require a longer pole?
Can you recommend the cheapest place to purchase a pole of that size. As I have looked and they are fairly expensive for that length. So we would only require a "Value pole" to start with.
Our poles we have are only 17 and 30 feet which I dont think will be long enough.
Price for flats
Now, I know its hard to say what you would charge without see the job itself.
Its just a small block of flats, 4 storeys high, wanted on a monthly clean.
To be honest, we don't normally price on Flats. This would be our first block of flats. So could guys be so kind a recommend an average price so we could be within a competitive area. Access is easy.
Many thanks in advance
Dave

We reach four stories using a 35ft Extel Hybrid; not expensive at about £300 or less; we bought ours from Varitech in Bovey Tracey, Devon.
Hope that helps :)

i used a 35 extel pole the other day and only got to the top of the second floor, it was an old school, can u get a pic of the building

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the fast replies. ill have a look at the 35 foot poles.
As for pictures, Not Yet. As I have not seen the building in question. Viewing it on Monday.

If the flats are modern (60's onwards) and do not have ground sloping away then a 35ft pole, standing close-ish to the building will do it at a stretch.
If access is good why not use a fishing pole carrying the sections in a golf bag? Fit a supalite brush and hose up the outside. Dead light.
Price? Providing it's one cheque for the lot then £5 a flat if they are UPVC and no unusual characteristics. Bung in the common entranceways for free.
Maybe offer - £4.50 monthly/£5.50 two-monthly/£7.00 three monthly?
So if it's 25 flats on two-monthly and you get £130/£140 and take 3 hours (once you've got them up to speed) for one man then your giggling!

Hi Gold,
Thanks for the info on the cheaper option for a pole. I might consider it.
As for the pricing info, That is much appreciated a lot. As we don't do many flats at all. (4 storey ones) So its good to have an idea of what the competition might be charging.
Thanks
Dave
