with you now having the hydra and the clx i wanted to ask you how would you compare the rigidity of the two as you said clx fully extended was quite whippy how does it compare with your hydra
i have the 18 ft hydra and its great for closing open windows very strong but the closed length can be a pain so i cant decide wether to get the clx or not

i would get a clx adixon!

very light and very short closed length(under 5 ft)great over connies and awkward angles.a lot less strain on shoulders/arms!yes its a bit whippy at full extend but if you put a superlite on the end its not too bad.

i would say the hydra is a bit more rigid and robust but heavier and certainly not as "user friendly" as the clx.

hydra is great for a few of my jobs where its actually better that the pole is a bit heavier!(2nd floor windows on a windy day!)but the clx wins hands down for everyday run of the mill work IMO

had it a few months and broke a clamp the other day but thats due to me over extending the section.its seems fine!

id be happy if it lasts me 12-18 months.i  do flush it out once a week and give the pole hose a wipe now and then so that should make it last longer.

get one!you wont regret it but likes been said on another thread i reckon they should provide a "refurb" pack of spare clamps and glue and charge a bit extra for the pole.

I got a slx 25 and some times have to stand on tip toes to reach 2nd storey windows(and I am 6'2''), So I would of thought a 22 foot would struggle.
