Title: gutter vac van mount.
Post by: mark311069 on October 08, 2010, 07:17:46 pm
is this a good idea or madness you decide :o.  ok i have a large gutter cleaning contract at a large holiday camp, apart from the venues, i also clean all the apartments, ive worked out that if i had 45 metres of vac hose i could clean out the gutters moving though each set of apartments leaving the vac inside the van, now iam sure the power of one vac would not be enough. so do you think it would be possible to have two vacs working together joined to the 45 metres of hose with a Y connector also made of vac hose. its just a idea any thoughts? ??? ???

like you thoughts mate was thinking of the same a while ago
If you can have a carpet truck mount , then why not a gutter one
Its going to have to be a hell of a vac though

if you look at the carpet side of things the suction is made at the point of contact with the carpet , and that is only a small amount of water being sucked up

This might change with the amount of muck in the gutter and the distance it has to travel back to the vac

have a look at this it might be what you would need

One problem you would have is trying to empty the gutter vac as when full of wet gutter crap it gets quite heavy ;)

was thinking of using two of these
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330415495269&ih=014&category=43015&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1

i know they would need emptying somehow but instead of a normal vac that holds 50=70 lt this holds 200lt per vac.

its early days but it might work
