???just had a practice with my new pure freedom wfp system & the spotting/smears are just too much - what are the causes & whats the best technique to use to avoid this?
-
check your tds, make sure brush is clean, and rinse loads, and a tidy pressure, ive seen some muppets just spitting out of their poles! ::)
i know this might be obvious but make sure you really clean the window, take your time.

There are loads of tips on how to clean using wfp on this forum have a search through the threads but whilst you are practising ...don't just keep doing your own...do you families houses as well...this will give you a few proper houses not just yours that you have cleaned 10 times.
Also...asked anyone here to do their own house and I wonder how many will say 'yep it's perfect' ?
Just a little bit of advice...water flows down...there will be the issue/reason for spots.
Cheers and good luck.
Dave.

It depends on is it the first time you have used WFP on your windows ?
What type of window do you have / plastic or wooden /aluminium frame
can you tell us how you cleaned the window so we can know if you have done it right ?

thanks for the replies =
My windows are pvc doulble glazed - i cleaned the upper frames first in a sideway motion - then the side frames - then the sill - then the glass in an up / down motion - then i rinsed from side to side - my pure freedom pump was on 30 which i latter reduced to 13 to produce a 6 inch jet ???

ive always found wfp simple?
have a high flow and really scrub dont touch frame if you just want to clean glass, or if your gonna clean frame then really scrub and rinse then go back when stopped running and do glass

Its not just dodgy frames you have been practicing on is it?

most windows need wfpoling 2 or 3 times before they come up good.i did mine first time(good pvcu frames)and they came up crap!i did them the next day and they came up spotless!! ;D ;D
dont forget to scrub the frames first AND give them a rinse.do another window then come back and just concentrate on the glass then rinse brush off making sure you dont splash any on the top frame.simple!

What should the flow rate be on a virastream controller manuel one?
-
If your TDS is 000 then you need to rinse, then rinse again then guess what, rinse again.
-
Done them a second time with more rinsing & the results are top notch, must have been pulling out the soap residules & years of dirt in the frames - totally sold on the WFP/pure water.
Thanks guys for all for the good advice. ;D

i thinks its the windows with the old think black rubber seales that hold all the crap in and the just keep bleeding :(
the windows with hardly any rubber (plastic straight to glass) are the best, there's no rubber to hold in all the crap or old soap... wish all windows were that way :)

reducing your flow to 13 there must have been hardly any water coming out crank it up to 60 so you can give a good rinse and you can work faster

Hi
I see you clean the frames, sill and then the window.
Try to clean the frames and windows first and then finish off by doing the sill. The sill always has dirt on it and you could be transfering that dirt back onto the window.
I know many will disagree, but rinsing with you brush just off the glass is also better to start of with.
I remember reading Dazmonds posts about his initial WFP experiences - he seemed to give us daily updates of his experiences and beginners frustration. Well worth a read, as he has succeded in mastering the art of WFP and getting through those initial stages.
My experience was the same as Dazmonds, but today as experienced WFPers we don't seem to have as much grief with new cleans as we did at first. I am as cautious and will always go back and check each window after they have started to dry off for problems.
You will get there in the end.
