Title: Trad top tip-forums
Post by: Lee GLS on October 06, 2010, 11:54:05 pm
Trad top tip- don't bother posting on this forum because it's full of numptys who use wfp and think that they are far superior to you and will only laugh at you for using ladders and will have nothing worth while to say. So don't waste your time with the moppets on ciu

Ps I know not all your the wfp guys are like that but there are some who fit that description perfectly.

just ignore the numpteys mate and pick up advice where you can and use it where you can, if you get ten answers and one is useful read that one,

I use both methods and will not look down on anybody

Try to ignore the ones who slag off trad but I would advise you do listen to those who are trying to give you good advise regarding not ruling out wfp.

I was the biggest anti wfp wc on the planet. Now I love it even with the trouble it brings when pipes burst etc.

totally agree mate . its getting out of order , after all we are all windys . so how about us all meeting up for a drink , the wfp guys can meet in henrys champagne and oyster bar. the tradders can meet in wetherspoons in the train station  ;)

Don't get me wrong I think wfp is a great idea and I'm having my wfp system fitted next week, but there is no reason to view those that use trad any different, we are all WC's

And then there are those of us who realise that to rule out wfp when it can be done so inexpensively is not a wise move. I don't want any newbie being persuaded not to go wfp and:

A) Fall and injure themselves.
B) Work harder and longer than they need to.
C) Have windows and rooflights they cannot reach easily and safely.

To get a backpack, cheap pole, harvest water from a roof and use a few 25L barrels is a few hundred quid. Why wouldn't you?

Mate im wfp these days and have total respect for trad guys, as i was trad a lot longer than wfp, i dont miss it mind you lol
But ppl who think they are something special because they own wfp gear are indeed numptys, numptys of the highest order infact.
Dont let em intimedate you,end of they day they aint a bloody doctor or a avation scientist, they remove poo from peoples windows like we all do on hear

its not that i am saying not to go wfp, i am changing to it myself because i see the benifits of it, but there are those that will choose not to change over for whatever reason, and the shouldnt get abused on here for being a trad window cleaner, we all need advice wether its wfp or trad related

I see SierraGLS.

My advice would be to be in a position to able to offer wfp to your custies as soon as you can.

I would never be abusive but I can be a little zealous! A bit like a smoker who's given up and thinks everyone else is nuts if they don't do the same I imagine.

how many of you wfp'ers have COMPACT ROUNDS?

have one round, consists of 114 houses... day & a halfs work....

each day the van doesnt need to be moved....

take you twice as long WFPing it.

dont get me wrong im not anti-wfp , i have wfp in the van, and its only used on jobs that its worthwile.

it has  its place........ and compact domestics isnt that place

had the same remarks last year when i said we had done 49 houes & a pub in a day (two of us)

its why i stopped coming on for a while....im not out to impress anyone, so why would i lie about how much we can get done?

oh and 114 houses,  with 3 lads working on them, is easily achievable in a day & half..

done 53 today, 8:30 till 1:00 larger council houses, off a different round, then another 10 "scattered" houses in an hour ;D

>ryan Lee - the prob is that you didn't make it clear that it was 3 of you and then when dazmond calls you out you "explain".

It's not helpful to others when you don't disclose full facts. To illustrate it would be like me saying I can do £1000 in a day cuz I'm wfp and then I don't tell you it was my best job ever, took from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm and there was three of us.  :)

might have some work to sell , what do you guys think to this idea . seen as though wfp is no good on compact domestics, will sell all my work were i have at least 20 houses in one area , but heres the brainwave ,i will keep 2 or 3 houses in each area but make sure they are spread out . therefore my work wont be compact and i can carry on using wfp. i was starting to worry that i would have to go back on the ladders . but i think this might just work  ;) ;)
