Title: Water Softener advise please.

At the moment my ro system and di vessel are working well and mt tds is 0 but My question is do any of you use water softening salts kits. If yes what are the recommened systems. I have been using a van mounted system that has salt as the last process.

The salt is normally there to Re-gen the softner resin.

the softener should be first before the ro, the salt is used to regenerate the softening resin

Sierragls is right the softner is before the ro system so it supplies the system with soft water. Thats hows mine fitted.
