Guys while i know the obvious answer is what someone will pay for it i am thinking of selling one of my websites as my focus is in another direction(truckmount and thermadry work suits me fine). The website is WWW.DRYCLEANCARPETS.CO.UK.Any sensible thoughts much appreciated.Regards Alan Turner(swindon)

If it's well established on google why sell it?
Personally I would keep it but change the content and number of pages etc to suit your ways.

Thanks for the replies guys I am not very keyed up on websites hence the post to find out whether its better to sell this site to finance my move into another area that isnt DRY.Regards Alan

Hi Alan
Should have sold to me when i was really interested and did not know values. I now buy sites that have a PR2 at about $60
Keep it its worth more to you just link it to your main site and the PR will flow to it.
Respects
Ian

asking on a carpet cleaning forum what a domain is worth is very silly. it's like asking on a rug doctor forum how to properly clean carpets.
there are many services that will sell your site and perhaps worth a look. i tried for one recently which was similar to yours maybe worse and the owner wanted £10k for it. i wasn't going to pay that but there could be someone who would such as was the case when the owner of facebook went from having thefacebook.com to facebook.com and he paid a lot for it, but a couple years before it was almost worthless. you should be able to get a decent amount for it if you really want to sell it now. $60 is way too cheap imo, you may as well keep the site and keep passing on the work for a referral fee and very quickly get that any ways.

Fair comment but i have met lots of successful people who have said never be afraid to ask a silly question.I have an immense respect for the views of the majority of the guys/gals on this forum(and ccdo) and have been helped in my business alot.I will take on board your comments though as all are appreciated.Regards Alan(swindon)
