Title: MY new 2 van man set-up with pics
Post by: windolene on October 06, 2010, 02:42:28 pm
Hi.

This is my 2 man van set-up.

Separate containers for clean & soiled scrims microfibers. The same for sill cloths & one for spares like channels , handles ,scrapers, rubbers etc. Another for a bucket, soap, hard water remover & so on. Two 2 step step ladders for internal work.

I have always worked out of a car so am enjoying the extra space in back as well as front.

why are you all having a go at the guy, you wfp users need to get you head out of your ars's. there is nothing wrong with cleaning window trad and he is obviously please with his new van.

This forum is full of idiots that are so judgmental, and always criticizing other people.

if you have nothing constructive to say then keep your mouths shut

Well done fella. You have the basics. Clean smart looking van and kit.

I remember my 1st van I was so proud to have one after a year of working hard to save for it. If you need any help getting it sign written, Work shirts or web site etc give me a shout I point you in the right direction.

Come on guys we've all got a living to make, I'm wf and we all know lots of trad and do a bit ourselves. Lets respect each others views and get tips and help of each other when we need it.
Or is it, if you can't say anything nice slag them off?

It has a higher fatality rate then WFP, I know trad wc are sick of the same turn all the time but we are not against them we just want to help  ::)

If you met me face to face I would show you fellow window cleaners that have fallen off ladders and ask you do you really think that its idiotic they suggest a safer way of cleaning windows  ::)

One last thing I still use ladders as there is always some jobs that need it But I will not be a window cleaner that says there is nothing wrong with this way when there is

I am grateful to all the window cleaners that have told me to go WFP and now I see why , Especially now that the weather is changing and roofs are getting more slippery

As for the guys van Yes it is a nice setup and I hope he is happy with it and now he has a van he should think about WFP

its not that trad is better or safer than wfp, because in most cases wfp is probably better, but its the abuse and mocking of trad window cleaners that is the problem. just because there is not water tank and poles in the back of his van doesnt mean people should make fun of the trad gear in the back of the van

Has anyone gave it a thought that this gent has saved for a year to get a van and that he has worked hard for what he has and I salute him for doing so..it is a nice van and even with all of his trad gear.

And maybe this gent has enough money he might just get wfp. Why should people be in debt by having the latest stuff.
Its better to save for what you want in life than be in debt.

I use trad as well as wfp and I dont use a van I use a mpv to be precise its a citreon synergie, so what does that make me?? ;D

good on you mate nice van and trad is the way to go if you want customers to have perfect windows i have not been on this forum for about 2 months and after reading the twats on here taking the micky out of a hard working lad trying to make an honest living then i for one wont be back for another 3 months i am trad i love window cleaning i know all the windows i clean are left perfect as for buying wfp i have enough money to buy any system i want half of you idiots have bought wfp systems because you have not been trained to use trad correctly on most windows the finish i leave will be far superior to yours squirting freezing cold water on a window there are so many times when i have to use a scraper to get small marks off windows that you working from the floor would never even see

Nice Van Mate, i worked for my 1st 2 years out of our family car and then saved enough to buy and run my 1st van as well, a good old escort van, its a good feeling to finally get your motor sorted out!
Get it sign written as well that helped me pick up more work, ive just changed over to Movano as im more wfp now but will always love trad, it got me started on a tight budget and built my round up to what it is now and i have complete respect for trad cleaners, the ones that have to slag off obviously have some sort of complex problem, probably got a big car as well  ;D
