Title: New Build Pressure Washing
Post by: Seers on September 20, 2005, 04:40:35 pm
Hello,

Just wondered if anyone could help with pricing up a job we have just finished. Involved pressure washing all brickwork to a large block of new flats, for a national house builder. Fifty-two flats, over four floors, caked in cement snots! In addition we also did all boundary walls.

It has taken two of us about five days in all, so around 80 man hrs. Don't want to price it on dayrate, rather a lump sum. No access equipment was needed and cost us about £100 in fuel for the pressure washer.

Obviously a little strange trying to arrive at a price after the job is done rather than before, but we do a lot of work for this particular devolper and was a case of just get it done.

I have a ball park figure in my mind, but would be interested in views from those of you who are experienced in this field.

Cheers,

Huw.

Good grief Martin are you starting a secret squirrel club or just
collecting email addresses or could this clandestine behaviour be the secret hallmark of a new Advisor

Now how on earth are people supposed to finish their "GET RICH QUICK AS A CLEANER" books as seen on ebay, when you go and do this sort of thing! You could even start a trend at this rate, then what would we have - a board  with nothing but questions and no answers   ;)

hi there,

DP i am more than happy to offer advice openly on the forum, and i have done that regularly ove the past year.

i have also worked with people from the board, on some specialist cleaing projects.

If i decide to offer some private advice, or talk to different people on the phone, or  email discussing in more detail business, opportunities, and pound notes, then that is what i do.

Similarly i will discuss with  my staff the work that they have to do for the week, but i wont discuss with them the full impact of their work and the invoice values of work, similarly i dont discuss with them the thousands of pounds of money spent on kit over the past year.

i hope that doesnt offend to many people on here.

regards

martin

Good for you and I agree why say it in 2 words when 100 will do. Not sure if the secret squirrel stuff offends anyone, have you emailed everyone to find out yet?
