Title: Adwords
Post by: Lee13 on October 04, 2010, 09:22:10 pm
Hi Guys,

I come from an IT background, so I'm quite tech savvy, however I'm not convinced that I'm using Adwords to it's full potential.

I was given a free £100 from Google, which I used in just over a month and picked up lots of work.

I've noticed other window cleaning companies coming up for all kinda of window cleaning related searches, where I should come up also.

Basically, I think I could do with some help just slightly tweaking my account to maximise clicks whilst reducing the amount of money I'm spending. I think it would also be interesting to see what other people are spending on Adwords, and if there is anyone here, or anywhere that I can have a conversation with to clarify a few things.

Thanks all

We used to use adwords and were spending £200 p/m for one campaign. It was effective but expensive. You only get the two lines of keywords but you can have more than one campaign using different keywords. I think the money could be better spent getting professional SEO to appear on the organic listings (left hand side). Saying that, they must work cos many first page websites use them, just depends on your budet. If you want to appear more often , up your pay per click bid.  If you want to appear fir other keywords, start more campaigns with different keywords.

Thanks for your help,

Do you have some examples of keywords?

Such as, I've set my ads to show within 6km of my town,

Did you add keywords such as:

Window Cleaner

or

Window Cleaner 'Location'
