Not me, I couldn't afford to take that sort of drop in income.

I am very doubtful about buying work at the best of times unless its a few hundred pounds changing hands for a bit of goodwill.

These days people are asking big money but for what? I am even more uneasy about the idea of buying commercial work if its covered by a contract to someone else.

The gist i get is that commercial work is drying up or at least becoming even less frequent and a contract is not worth a SH** if the company/business goes under.
What do you do if you have a contract but get told to get lost and someone else appears doing the job?.employ a solicitor and pay his/her fees whilst a £600-800 a month van sits idle and two employees sit twiddling their thumbs.Do it until you run out of money or let it consume your life and suffer ill health as a consequence?
I wouldn`t buy a commercial window cleaning business with someone elses money never mind my own.Got enough to buy one then pay yourself a wage whilst you establish . The days when people could buy business`s with the banks money, pay themselves an over inflated wage, milk it then fold it are over.

Just looked at the ebay ad again it is embarassingly unprofessional.
