How long have you been cleaning windows as a living, no-one else can see what you have voted.
Im curious as Ive never seen so many brand new window cleaners as opinionated as they seem to be on here recently.
-
I dont need to keep my vote hidden. been in business for my self 8 years and worked for someone else for 3.
Does that give me the right to be opinionated? ;D
-
Started mid June this year but dont think myself as opiniated just learning from the sidelines with the odd throw in if I know what Im talking about ;D
-
oh and loving it too !
-
Does that give me the right to be opinionated? ;D
Of course it does, but not enough to have a valued opinion ;D

Wfp less than two years and full time. Trad i started part time 2006 and yes i used a ladder, bucket on a belt. To be honest i was offered a job back in print by a mate who i did my apprenticeship with, who is now the works manager. Now let me think, shift work hassle and above all we had to move. I didn't think about it i said thanks but no thanks. When i was part time i only had friends and neighbour's in my very small round and didn't expand beyond that. All it was to see if i could hack it and work outside in the winter as i have only worked inside. My business is growing and work wise i have never been happier. The BFG was and still is a great source off encouragement to me as a few times my chin was on the floor and guy just lifts you right up kicks you up the Arsenal and basically tells you how it is. Thanks Big Feller i owe you. (But not Lunch in bo's) ;)

True. Maybe they've sussed their established competition is capable of no more than rubbing a rag on some glass and knocking for three quid and they have some ideas of thier own ?
-
or maybe its because there are too many idiots bragging and telling people what we can earn.

surely you don't believe everything your told ???

Originally started w/c in 1982 for 3 or 4 years . Then did other jobs and started again in the early 90s for another 2 or 3 years. Then got back into it in 2008 and this time Im sticking to it, what with WFP and all ;D.
So I voted 10 years.

no i dont swc, but was just saying that the sudden upsurge of new window cleaners in the last couple of years might be to do with this. there is a commercial company round my way that often have an ad in the local paper saying "earn between 6-£800 a week" as a cosequence quite a few people have asked me if windys really earn such good money, I try to play it down. I know some will say plenty of work for everyone but at some point surely the market will saturate and drive prices down. all i am saying is whatever business your in the less competitors the better for you. Dont worry the Polish never did materialise ;D
We've been cleaning our windows in this country regularly for generations, window-cleaners have always been well paid, it aint going to change.
