Hi all
I live in a v hardwater area 450ppm normally and I use a trolley and getting backpack too so I carry lots of 25l containers of pure water round with me. I am thinking of harvesting some rainwater to help with water costs from the tap as its only about 15ppm, if i put this through a filter to get rid of the main debris would you recommend i could put straight through a di vessel into a 25 litre container? I have a spare shurflo pump and guess this would do the job of sending it through the vessel into the barrel. is there anything i need to be aware of?

just filter the bits out and happy days and your resin should last 12 months to 18 months depending on the qaulity of the rain water because it can read from 060 down to 004 personaly been collecting rain water for the last 5 years

anyone think i might be better getting a submersible pump instead of shurflo?

Yes, they pump faster and are inexpensive.
